The Wideload Method

When it comes to comedy, one of the best things about collaborating with Wideload Games is their willingness to explore completely absurd concepts and refine them into something that works. We consider successful any brainstorming meeting in which exploding sweaters and miracle-product spokeswolves are discussed at length.

Wideload Lead Writer Matt Soell wrote an entertaining post on 1UP about Burt Reynolds, and also about our creative collaboration on the "Hail to the Chimp" broadcast spots.

Thumbs Up From "Opposable Thumbs"

We've been finished with our work on Hail to the Chimp for several months now. I can safely say, I've never laughed so much as I did on that project. Good times.

In a way, it's been sad, coming to work each day without having to answer pressing questions like, "Ok, if Oprah was really a killer whale, would she still wear earrings?" I've kind of forgotten how immersed we had become in the everyday matters of anthropomorphic mammals (please hold all furries jokes until the end of this post forever).

So this week, it was exciting to see what one of our favorite game journalists, Ben Kuchera, had to say about the fake ads in Hail to the Chimp. Aww shucks!
